21G Intravenous Needle, Stainless Steel Tri-bevelled Butterfly Needle Tube 0.8*34MM

An intravenous (IV) needle is a medical device used to access a vein for administering fluids, medications, blood products, or for blood sampling. One of the common intravenous needles is scalp vein needle. This needle is mostly used for blood sampling and quick infusion solutions, which is frequently used in treating patients who have contractures and treating in pediatric patients. It is mainly used for venipuncture, also known as winged infusion set or butterfly needle. Butterfly needles can also be used for venipuncture of thin or fragile veins, like those veins in the people's hand and scalp. The doctor may use a butterfly needle to perform venipuncture on infants, older people or patients who are afraid of needles. Butterfly needles can be secured and left in the patient's vein for a week.

YUHONG GROUP specializes in producing stainless steel semi-finished medical needle tubes with different types, like intravenous needle, hypodermic needle, insulin needle, dental needle, mesotherapy needle, blood lancet needle and so on. Our quality control system meet ISO13485 standard. For needle tips, we can also customize special needle tips such as blunt tip, bevel tip, back-eye tip, etc. to meet clients' requirements.

Needle Gauge (Size):
Range: 14G (largest) to 27G (smallest).

14G-18G: Trauma, surgery, rapid fluid/blood delivery.

20G-22G: Most adults (medications, fluids).

24G-27G: Pediatrics or fragile veins.

While the needle size can vary from 14G to 27G, most needle sizes are from 21G to 23G. If a patient uses the smaller-bore needles (eg: 25G to 27G), blood will be more likely to be destroyed (hemolyze) or clot.
