ASTM A182 F347 Austenitic Steel Weld Neck Forged Flange B16.5
ASTM A182 covers forged or rolled alloy and stainless steel pipe flanges, forged fittings, and valves and parts for high temperature service. After hot working, the forgings should be cooled to a specific temperature before heat treatment. The heat treatment should be carried out according to certain requirements such as heat treatment type, austenitization/solid solution temperature, cooling medium, quenching, etc.
347 flanges are specified for many fastener applications requiring superior performance under varying environmental conditions. A182 F347/F347H flanges are manufactured with added carbon to increase toughness and improve high temperature creep performance in aerospace, petroleum refining and high temperature steam services.
