Overview
A slip-on flange is a type of flange that slides over the pipe and then is welded in place. It is designed to slip over the pipe and is not intended to be used in high-pressure or critical applications. The slip-on flange has a low hub and is typically used when the internal diameter of the pipe is the same as the flange's inner diameter. It is easier to align and install compared to other flange types. The slip-on flange is commonly used in low-pressure and non-critical applications in various industries such as water supply, plumbing, and general industrial piping systems.
F316L flange refers to a flange made from F316L stainless steel material. F316L is a low carbon variant of the F316 stainless steel, which is a common grade used in various industries for its corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. The "F" in F316L stands for "forged," indicating that the flange is manufactured through a forging process. The "316L" denotes the specific composition of the stainless steel, which contains approximately 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum. F316L flanges are widely used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and food processing, where corrosion resistance and durability are crucial.
