Description

The PP Sulzer Double Stage Salt Centrifuge model is a perforated basket centrifuge that operates continuously and efficiently. The mixture to be separated is continuously and evenly fed into the first stage basket through the feeding pipe and distributor. Under the influence of centrifugal force, most of the mother-liquor in the feed passes through the sieves into the liquor-collecting casing, where it is discharged from the machine.

The first stage basket rotates and reciprocates, pushing the formed product cake into the second stage basket. This allows the cake to experience increased centrifugal force, resulting in sufficient dewatering and ensuring the desired moisture content of the cake. Subsequently, the cake is continuously discharged from the basket.

For applications requiring high purity of the solid product, effective washing can be performed within the centrifuge. If necessary, the washing agent and the mother-liquor can be discharged separately, allowing for further separation and purification.
