High Refractory Painted Wooden Fire Rated Double Doors Apartment Usage

Fire rated doors are given various ratings depending on the duration they can withstand the heat and restrain the fire from spreading to the other parts of the building. Minimally, fire rated doors can withstand the heat for 20 minutes. This number can go as high as 90 minutes. There is a misconception that fire rated doors cannot be made with wood. In reality, this is not the case. Fire rated doors can be made of wood, but the wood used in the manufacturing of such fire rated doors is treated with different materials that enable it to withstand extreme temperatures.

Design: Incorporates 10mm wide external hardwood edge strips to form a frame around the core in compliance with AS1530 part 4 and AS1905 part 1.

Finish: Ply Sheet.

Core: Vermiculite Sheet.

Weight: 46mm leaf – 40KG. 38mm leaf – 32KG.

Motor operated counter fire door does not require tension reset after automatic fire release. ​​​​​​​​

Installation:

As well as ensuring the door is hung properly and squarely, it is also very important that where a fire door is installed, any gaps left in the opening between the wall and the door frame must be properly filled with fire resisting material. Fire doors are normally installed by a carpenter.
