McWiLL is a full IP network with flat and decentralized architecture. It is a data service based system. The BTS carries out most inner-cell and inter-cell communication through IP connection. SAG, SAC and other core network equipments manage customer authorization, voice packaging, service control, voice handoff, data roaming and outside communication.
The system has possibility to realize self backhaul in the area lack of public backhaul.
There three kinds of deployment for different applications.
--- Topology P For operator, digital city and large scale industry (oilfield, waterway, transportation)
--- Topology S For industries, small scale operator, ISP, security and defense
--- Topology M Mobile BTS, for emergency and contingent communication

McWiLL served 2008 Beijing Olympic Games
In the 2008 Olympics, McWiLL successfully served Qingdao Regatta,
the Olympic Sailing Committee Technology department commented about
McWiLL as "It was the first time in the International Regatta
history that live, close-up , high-definition video services in
real-time manner was used”. It has added a new dimension to
high-tech Olympics.
McWiLL Applied Wenchuan Earthquake
In "5 • 12" Wenchuan earthquake: because fixed communication and
mobile communication equipment were damaged, the disaster area was
isolated from the outside world. The timely arrival of McWiLL
emergency communication vehicles at the disaster areas, provided
valuable information for prediction of aftershocks and secondary
disasters.
Assistance to Myanmar for Post-disaster Reconstruction
After Myanmar suffered the tropical storm attack, communications
was interrupted and the relief and reconstruction efforts were
greatly hindered. In May 2008, China's Ministry of industry and
information donated McWiLL solution to rapidly build the
communications infrastructure that was vital for the relief effort.
Emergency communication in Sri Lanka
After the Indian Ocean tsunami, the local GSM and fixed
communications equipments were all destroyed. Xinwei donated it’s
emergency communications equipment to get the communications up an
running in a short time. Xinwei engineers deployed the networks
covering 300 square kilometers in the disaster area in a single day
to resolve the emergency communication problem. The outstanding
performance of SCDMA in the tsunami area won the Sri Lanka
Government and the operator's full confidence, and the appreciation
of MII Minister Wang Xudong. CCTV and other media have carried out
the exclusive interview and the related reports.
