The new GT864-3G terminal is a complete encased modem solution for wireless m2m applications based on the single-band 2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA UC864-E core engine with integrated SIM holder as well as additional features.

The GT864-3G is also fully backward compatible to existing EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks through accomplished quad-band radios. Offering extended operating temperature, integrated TCP/IP stack, direct control by standard serial RS-232 interface or USB 2.0 interface, and with a broad supply voltage range (5-32 V DC), the GT864-3G terminal is a complete stand alone solution for m2m applications that require high speed data exchange.

The GT864-3G, new generation of Telit 3.5G terminals, is provided with Windows and Linux drivers that signifcantly ease the integration in existing applications.

All Telit modules, support Over-the-Air firmware update by means Premium FOTA Management.

By embedding Red Bend Software’s vRapid Mobile® agent, a proven and battle-tested technology powering hundreds of millions of cellular handsets world-wide Telit is able to update its products by transmitting only a delta file, which represents the difference between one firmware version and another.
