Satin Woven Label

If you’re looking for something soft with a luxurious sheen that has a vintage look, you might be interested in satin woven labels.

Satin does not weave small details and lettering as well as damask labels and has more distinct weave. Satin polyester threads weave the background, while regular damask polyester threads are used to weave the text and design on your label.

Damask Woven Label

The most common type of woven labels is damask woven labels. Damask is made up of polyester yarns which come in hundreds of colors. Damask labels and tags can weave fine details and is very soft against the skin.

The word denier refers to the size of the thread. So, the 50 denier damask yarn is half the size of the 100 denier damask yarn, so it can weave finer detail and has the softest feel. The 100 denier damask is extremely high quality, sturdy, and soft. When do I use taffeta woven labels over damask or satin?

Taffeta polyester threads are used for the background, while damask polyester threads weave the design. While taffeta has more background color options than satin, the options are more limited than damask. If you want to match a very specific background color to a Solid Coated or Uncoated Pantone number, then damask would be best.

However, taffeta also dries very quickly, so if you produce swimsuits or towels, taffeta woven labels can be a great option. Also, taffeta produces a grainy, crude style of artwork that might be perfect for brands who want to create such a look.

1. Can I have different sizes (i.e., XS, S, M, L) on the label?

Yes, we can do size and color splits within your ordering quantity. There is an extra charge for splitting the order up between different sizes and colors, but this will not be considered a whole new order. Please talk to one of our sales reps to see how we can accommodate your needs.

2. Can we have heat seal (iron-on) backing?

Yes, iron-on or heat adhesive woven patches can be applied to garments with a heat press or iron instead of sewing. Please ask one of our sales reps to send you samples for testing since the adhesive works differently on different fabrics.

3. What is your minimum and turnaround time?

Our minimum is 100 pcs for woven labels. Please note that as quantity increases, price per-label decreases. Lower quantities can be a lot more expensive overtime.

Turnaround time is about 7 business days for samples and 7-10 business days for production.
