We will choose high quality single crystal Germanium material to make lens. The resistivity of germanium material is usually 5-40 ohms. We can also choose Germanium material with specified resistivity according to customer's requirements.
The production technology of germanium lens usually includes low-speed polishing, high-speed polishing and single point diamond turning techniques.
a) Low-speed polishing, also known as classical polishing, can produce germanium lenses with higher accuracy, but the production efficiency is very low and the cost is relatively high.
b) High-speed polishing can make germanium lens quickly. It is the best choice in mass production. It has lower production cost.
c) Single point diamond turning techniques can make germanium lens with arbitrary curved surface, and single point car can also be selected for small batch germanium lens samples.
