Comes with 3 pieces -- glass cup, glass inner cup, and glass lid. All pieces are made entirely of heat resistant borosilicate glass. The inner cup with narrow openings near the bottom acting as "strainer".

It is easy to brew the tea. Just put the tea into the inner cup and add some water, then the innner cup releases infused tea directly into the outside drinking cup.

After tea is ready, get out the inner cup and you can drink the tea in the drinking cup.

Great for the office or when traveling.

I love this cup! One reviewer said it didn't look like the picture, well the flower is there for effect not a decoration. It is showing the flower as if it is the tea bag or tea leaves you would put in the cup to brew your tea. The cup looks exactly like pictured, it is three pieces: the cup, the infuser and the lid. You place your tea bag or loose leaf tea in the infuser cup and place inside the drinking cup add your hot water and let it steep. When done to your likeness you remove the infuser cup and add sugar, cream etc. You can place the lid on it to keep dirt out and keep it warm longer. It is perfect size and nicely made. As for giving it a bad rating just because you thought it had a flower on it or that it was broke is not fair. Things get broke doesn't mean that the company or product is bad and having a decoration or not, the cup still works as stated. I use mine every day and am very happy with it. ----By Peggy Morgan

This individual tea cup tea maker is absolutely perfect. I have purchased numerous tea strainers and this is the best thing ever! It has an insert made of the same delicate glass that the tea cup and lid are made of. The insert has several "laser-slim" slots in it that allows the water to seep through but doesn't allow a single leaf bit to pass through (unlike most tea strainers). The whole item is made from delicate glass and is just beautiful. I am so pleased with this product that I intend to buy several to keep on hand to give as gifts for special occasions. And the price was about the same as a tea strainer alone. I have now purchased another for myself and two for my daughter. I love this Tea Cup, and as a person who grew up in a country where drinking tea is an essential part of everyday routine and tradition, I am absolutely addicted to tea! I have had something similar in the past, but that old cup accidentally broke and I was desperate to find a replacement. Couldn't be happier when I came across this cup on Amazon! I have been using it for 4 months now and love it even more that my previous one. I have tried making all kinds of teas in this cup: leafy tea (black, green), herbal, various mixed teas! Everything tastes a lot better than even tea brewed in a tea pot. Regular tea bags taste better too!

I am not sure whether this is dishwasher safe or not, but I prefer to hand was it because it's very lightweight and seems fragile. I cannot imagine my tea routine without this cup anymore! ----By RealNaz
