This is what makes it a 'constant current' design. The duty-cycle is what manages the unit and automatically steps down to keep your current draw exactly where you want it. For advanced users, the frequency is also adjustable with a one-turn pot inside for those who desire to make those adjustments as well.
While most Pulse Width Modulators adjust the current to the HHO generator, they do NOT self adjust as the unit increases its operating temperature. This can lead to a runaway reaction and overheating your HHO system. This unit is in fact a current limiting design.
This PWM gives you both advantages. First, it 'pulses' the current to the HHO generator making more effective use of the current draw. Secondly, it automatically maintains the amperage you set when the unit is first turned on.
Designed for up to 40 amp draws, It's rugged and it delivers. But most importantly, you don't have to monitor your HHO generators' current use all the time.
PWMs are an upgrade to the standard HHO configurations and come standard on all the Premiere system choices.
