1) Description of Spiral Bevel Gear

Spiral bevel gear are bevel gears used for intersecting shafts (usually 90°) transmission, and the teeth are distributed

in a spiral shape on the conical surface, which can realize power transmission and direction conversion between two intersecting shafts.

3) Working Principle

When the active helical bevel is rotated, its spiral teeth and the teeth of the driven helical bevel are meshed with each other,

using the geometric characteristics of the conical surface to transmit power from one shaft to the other shaft that intersects with it,

and at the same time change the direction of power transmission, and the design of the helical angle makes the meshing process smoother.

4) Application of Spiral Bevel Gear

It is widely used in the rear axle transmission system of automobiles to realize the conversion of engine power from longitudinal to transverse;

It is also used in the feed mechanism of machine tools to change the direction of power transmission to drive the movement of the table.
