What is the Bensulfuron methyl:
It is a selective systemic herbicide. The agent diffuses rapidly in
water, is absorbed by the roots and leaves of the weeds, and is
transferred to other parts, hindering the biosynthesis of
branched-chain amino acids. The growth of sensitive weeds is
blocked, the young tissues are yellowed prematurely, and the growth
of leaves and roots is inhibited.
It can effectively control rice field 1-year-old and perennial
broad-leaved weeds and sedges, which can be absorbed by weed roots
and leaves and transmitted to other parts. For rice safety, the
method of use is flexible.
Bensulfuron methyl parameter:
|Product Name||Bensulfuron-methyl +butachlor|
|Specification||Bensulfuron-methyl + butachlor 30% WP|
|CAS No.||73250-68-7+ 23184-66-9|
|Empirical Formula||C16H14N2O2S+ C17H26ClNO2|
|Toxicology||(Rat): Oral LD50 >5000 mg/kg. (Rabbit): Dermal LD50 >2000
mg/kg. Nonmutagenic, noncarcinogenic. Nonirritating to skin, eyes.|
|Applications||Bensulfuron-methyl : Branched chain amino acid synthesis (ALS or AHAS) inhibitor.
Acts by inhibiting biosynthesis of the essential amino acids valine
and isoleucine, hence stopping cell division and plant growth.
Selectivity is due to rapid metabolism in the crop.|
Bensulfuron-methyl Mode of action: Selective systemic herbicide, absorbed by the
foliage and roots, with rapid translocation to the meristematic
Bensulfuron-methyl Uses: Selective pre- and post-emergence control of annual and
perennial weeds and sedges (e.g. Butomus umbellatus, Scirpus
maritimus, Scirpus mucronatus, Alisma plantago-aquatica, Sparganium
erectum, Cyperus spp., Typha spp., etc.) in continuously flooded
rice, at 30-100 g/ha.
