Overview

The Allen-Bradley 1785-L40C15 is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) from the classic PLC5 series. This controller is specifically part of the 1785 ControlNet PLC5 Programmable controllers, equipped with a dual ControlNet communication interface with secondary and tertiary interfaces. The 1785-L40C15 is designed to cater a maximum of controller memory up to 48KWords, able to handle 2048 I/Os or 2048 Input and 2048 output when operated in complementary mode. It may be installed with memory modules to reach the memory limit. This controller is capable of implementing distributed I/O architectures with compatibility to a variety of distributed I/O platforms such as Bulletin 1771 I/O, 1794 I/O, 1746 I/O, and 1791 I/O modules, including 8-point, 16-point, 32-point, specialty, and intelligent modules.
