DESCRIPTION

BAIYUN SS811E Silicone Weather Proofing Sealant is a one-component neutral curing silicone sealant with excellent adhesion, weather-ability and elasticity for weather sealing in curtain wall and building facades, especially suits applications in the areas with large difference in temperature and low humidity. It easily extrudes in any weather and quickly cures at room temperature by reaction with moisture in the air to form a durable, flexible silicone rubber seal.

PACKAGING

BAIYUN SS811E Silicone Weather Proofing Sealant is available in 10.1 fl. oz. (300 ml) plastic caulking cartridges,16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml) foil sausage packs.

USABLE LIFE AND STORAGE

When stored at or below 27ºC (80ºF) in the original unopened containers, BAIYUN SS811E Silicone Weather Proofing Sealant has a usable life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.

LIMITATIONS

BAIYUN SS811E Silicone Weather Proofing Sealant should not be used, applied or recommended:

ŸIn structural glazing applications or where the sealant is intended as an adhesive.

ŸIn areas where abrasion and physical abuse are encountered.

ŸIn totally confined spaces as the sealant requires atmospheric moisture for cure.

ŸOn frost-laden or damp surfaces

ŸTo building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents – materials such as impregnated wood, oil-based caulks, green or partially vulcanized rubber gaskets or tapes.

ŸOn PMMA, PC substrates

ŸIn below-grade applications

ŸOn substrates made of polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonate and polytetrafluoroethylene.

ŸWhere movement capability greater than ±50% is required.

ŸWhere painting of the sealant is required, as the paint film may crack and peel

ŸFor structural adhesion on bare metals or surfaces subject to corrosion (i.e., mill aluminum, bare steel, etc.)

ŸTo surfaces in contact with food

ŸFor use underwater or in other applications where the product will be in continuous contact with water.
