The NSA Series combines Dell's patented Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection 2 (RFDPI) single-pass threat defense engine with a powerful, scalable multi-core architecture. The NSA Series combines instant SSL decryption and detection, an intrusion prevention system (IPS) with advanced anti-evasion technology, and a network-based malware protection system that leverages the power of cloud computing to deliver next-generation threat prevention. It has ultra-low latency and has a high number of concurrent connections and a high connection rate per second in its class.

Up to 24 dedicated cores distribute the network load evenly, so performance is not degraded when extreme traffic and malicious content are encountered.
RFDPI technology scans each byte

Regardless of the port or protocol, the NSA Series can use RFDPI technology to view all traffic and check each byte of each packet to detect and prevent threats from entering the network. The patented RFDPI engine not only provides complete security, but also does not compromise performance, eliminating the need for trade-offs between security and performance. It also provides an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) with advanced anti-circumvention technology.
