Product Details
1/2” - 2" 3 way ball valve SS316 and SS304 "T" Type and "L" Type
1. Description:
stainless steel full port three way ball valves are designed for
use with water, air, oil, and other media compatible with the
materials of construction. This diverter valve has a T-port flow
pattern. There is no flow shutoff position with this type valve.
Valve is tested per API 598, can be mounted in any orientation.
Design: ANSI B 16.34
Testing: API598
2. Applications:
When ports “A” and “B” are the inlets, and port “C” is the out-let,
the valve becomes a mixing valve. With minor variations in position
2 the percentage of components at “A” and “B” can be varied to the
outlet “C”. This has been successfully applied to hydronic systems.
It may not be possible to isolate the ports from one another in any
position. If the valve is in position 1, and the pressure at port
“B” is significantly higher than port “A”, the ball may be forced
off the seat allowing mixing from all ports. Whether or not this is
a problem depends on the application and its sensitivity to
unwanted mixing.

4. Feature Advantage:
stainless steel reduced port three way ball valves are designed for
use with water, air, oil, and other media compatible with the
materials of construction. This diverter valve has a T-port and L
flow pattern. There is no flow shutoff position with this type
valve. Spring return actuator requires a pneumatic pilot signal to
change the valve position, springs return the valve to the normal
failsafe position with loss of signal. Valve will also return to
the failsafe position upon loss of air pressure (or electrical
power, if using a pilot solenoid valve).. Advantages of air
actuated ball valves over other type valves may include: higher
flow rates, higher pressures, higher temperatures, wider media
compatibility, straight through flow path, reduced water hammer,
and use in hazardous environments. Valve is tested per API 598, can
be mounted in any orientation.
