PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This power cord plug with 3 insert holes is designed as a charge connector. The available wire gauges are 12AWG, 14AWG and 16AWG. The rated current is 25A and rated voltage is 125V. Sheath material can be PVC or rubber.

We will have quality test of hi-pot, polarity and continuity before packing. The main colors are black and white. But if you need other options, it can also be gray, red or even transparent. Length can be customized, as well as the packing details. All of our products are environmentally produced according to the RoHS standard, and have passed UL cUL certificates.

AMERICAN PLUG

American plug is 120V and 50 or 60HZ. And it is divided into two core wire, three core wire, polarity and non-polarity. Rubber sleeves must be used for copper plugs in the United States. In two wires, the printed wire is live line. If the plug has polarity, the bigger prong is the zero line and the smaller prong is the live line.

There are two modes of wire rod: NISPT-2 double layer insulation and XTV&SPT single layer insulation.

NISPT-2: “NISPT” refers to double layers insulation power cord. One is wire core insulation, and the other is sheath insulation. And “-2” means two core wires.

XVT&SPT: It refers to single layer insulation power cord. “-2” means two core lines (line body with groove; sheath directly wraps copper conductors).

SPT-3: Represents a single insulated power cord with earth wire. “-3” means three core lines (line body with groove; the earth wire in the middle has double insulation layers).

Both SPT and NISPT are flat wires, and SVT is rounded double insulated power cord.

American plugs usually use certification numbers, not directly the UL pattern, such as E233157, E236618, etc..

The differences between European plug and American plug:

The European power cord uses “H” to represent the type of wire. But American one has wire gauges to distinguish from each other, such as 2*1.31mm²(16AWG), 2*0.824mm²(18AWG), VW-1(or HPN) 60℃ (or 105℃) 300V, etc..

1.31 or 0.824mm²: cross sectional area

16AWG or 18AWG: cross sectional area

VW-1 or HPN: VW-1 uses PVC plastic material and HPN uses rubber material.

60℃ or 105℃: temperature resistance degree
