General Description

This ElectroMagnetic Flow Meter reduces lifecycle costs and unplanned shutdowns by accurately measuring water and wastewater flows in a variety of utility applications. It has intelligent diagnostics that help users take advantage of improved installation, maintenance and process-management practices. With fully welded sensor construction and an isolated, replaceable terminal block, these makes it the most dependable flow meter available for utility and water applications.

Work principle

The Magnetic flowmeters are often used where the liquid is fed using gravity. Be sure that the orientation of the flowmeter is such that the flowmeter is completely filled with liquid. Failure to ensure that the flowmeter is completely filled with liquid can significantly affect the flow measurement. Be especially careful when operating magnetic flowmeters in vacuum service because some magnetic flowmeter liners can collapse and be sucked into the pipeline in vacuum service, catastrophically damaging the flowmeter. Note that vacuum conditions can occur in pipes that seemingly are not exposed to vacuum service such as pipes in which a gas can condense (often under abnormal conditions). Similarly, excessive temperature in magnetic flowmeters (even briefly under abnormal conditions) can result in permanent flowmeter damage.

Notice on the selection of local type and remote type:

Remote type means the transmitter and converter display are mounted in different locations, it’s suggested to select
remote type in the following conditions:

• Ambient temperature or converter display sunshine temperature is over 60 ℃
• High humidity or corrosive air existed
• Serious pipe vibration
• Magnetic meter need be suspended or submersible, uneasily read out
• Other abrasive condition
