Pseudoboehmite is an aluminium compound with the chemical composition AlO(OH). It consists of finely crystalline boehmite. However, the water content is higher than in boehmite.
boehmite alumina powder have high chemical purity and water dispersibility. The purity can reach 99.9%. It is used as supporter of the catalysts, industrial ceramics, paint, additives, optical products, polishing materials, high gloss waterproof inkjet photo paper. Simply stir the powder in deionited water with moderate to intense agitation at room temperature for 10-20 minutes. It is suggested to add about 1% acetic acid based on the Alumina weight.
