All Surface wiping cloths are not all the same and are designed differently to handle different tasks.

Wiping cloths with larger apertures in them will hold larger dust and dirt particles, whereas surface wipes

with smaller apertures,or no apertures, are better suited to polishing tasks. Spunlace surface wipes higher in viscose content will absorb more than those with more polyester in them.

Furthermore, the thinner the cloth the less durable it will be than a thicker heavier cloth.
