Description:

The water pump on the Volkswagen Transporter and Touareg is driven by the gears that drive the timing.
It is beneficial to change the water pump when replacing the Timing Belt to avoid damage to the engine if the bearing in the water pump fails.
These tools are essential for the removal of the water pump and the alignment of the engine at top dead centre.
For VW T5, Touareg 2.5L 5-cylinder TDI engines.

Suitable for removing the water pump on Pumpe Duse, diesel, gear drive engines. Essential to align the engine in the TDC position. Supplied in carry case.

3.Maintain tools in good and clean condition for best and safest performance. ?

4.Ensure that a vehicle which has been jacked up is adequately supported with axle stands. ?

5.Wear approved eye protection. A full range of personal safety equipment is available from your dealer. ?

6.Wear suitable clothing to avoid snagging. DO NOT wear jewellery and tie back long hair. ?

7.DO NOT attempt to start engine or move vehicle whilst in gear with timing devices fitted. ?

8.Always display a warning notification on steering wheel when timing engine components. ?

9.Account for all tools, locking bolts, pins and parts being used and do not leave them in or near the engine. ?

10.WARNING! Incorrect camshaft timing can result in contact between valve head and piston crown causing damage to the engine.

11.IMPORTANT: Always refer to the vehicle manufacturer's service instructions, or a proprietary manual, to establish the current procedure and data.
